Solar Eclipse Projects
This week students have been working on a one-pager project/poster about the solar eclipse. Some students chose to take these home to work on them this weekend. Thanks for helping your student make sure it comes back to school on Monday.
Writing Contest with prizes
The Vermont Entomological Society is having a writing contest. Contestants will need to write an article about a Vermont insect, with observations. Students at CBMS are encouraged to join. If you are interested, please contact me, Mrs. Williams (mwilliams@huusd.org). I will host an informational meeting on Wednesday, April 17th at 7:45 - 8:15 AM. Anyone who submits an article will get a small prize. The winner will be published and will receive a gift card to a local book or art store (or a science shop). Articles are due by May 5, 2024.
Art Contest: There is also an art contest! Draw a Vermont insect and be entered in a contest for the back cover of the newsletter. The winner will receive a gift card to a local book or art store. No traced drawings please. Drawings are due by May 5, 2024.
End of Quarter 3
Some students received certificates today to celebrate consistent homework completion and growth in a variety of different areas. We love to see so many positive things happening!
