Writing Workshop for Kids

Ann Braden, a Vermont author, is offering students the opportunity to spend the day with her. See the details below.

When: Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, 10-4**

Who: Kids between the ages of 8-14

Where: Lilac Ridge Farm

I’ll use a mix of fun writing prompts and 1-on-1 sessions to help each partipant develop as a creative writer. Whether they have lots of story ideas or have no idea what to write, we'll get the creative juices flowing and give them the tools to get them to the next level.

The workshop will take place at Lilac Ridge Farm, a certified-organic, 3rd generation family-run dairy farm. We'll do the bulk of our writing in the farmhouse, but throughout the day, we'll also visit the cows, and the maple sugaring operation –– there's a good chance it'll be maple sugaring season when we're there!

**In case of a storm, the back-up date will be Saturday, March 9th.

Phoenix Apparel Order

We are getting ready to place an order for team t-shirts and sweatshirts. We need a minimum order of 24 items to be able to do this. Factotum in Waterbury has created a wonderful design for us based on student logo submissions. Please respond to this email if you/your student would like to order a t-shirt, sweatshirt, or both. We will give students a copy of the order form next week for these items to get a final count. Here is a copy if you'd like to fill it out and return it to school for next week. Both Youth and Adult sizes will be available. T-shirts will be $15 and hoodies will be $30. Please note that youth hoodies will not come with a drawstring, however, adult hoodies will.
